How donation pools work

Your campaigns

A holiday food drive, new kennels, a community mural: run it as a donation pool and share it with one link or QR code. Your staff, a board member or a supporter can start one in the app.

Gifts in someone’s honor

Instead of presents or flowers, friends give to you in someone’s honor. The person they celebrate receives a KadoBook of everyone’s messages.

The money arrives

Each donation goes to your Stripe account as it is made, with 30% of KadoPool’s fee on it. When the pool closes, KadoPool sends its donations to your bank in one payout, less Stripe’s payout fee — usually within 2 to 5 business days. Nothing to do on your side.

For charities whose donations are tax-deductible (501(c)(3)), confirmed with the IRS. Other nonprofits still get 30% of our fee on linked gifts.

Your donors, your contacts

  • Easy to give: from a link or a QR code, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, from $10, with no app needed. Donors never see each other’s amounts.
  • Every donor named to you: when the pool closes, we e-mail you each donor’s name, e-mail, ZIP code and amount — to thank them, follow up and add them to your CRM. Warm leads for your next campaign.
  • Automated tax receipts (optional): we e-mail each donor an acknowledgment in your name, with your logo and signatory.
  • Activity report: your pools, donations and payouts, summed up regularly.
