Group gifts, without the chase

A retirement gift from coworkers in every office

Every colleague chips in what feels right, in every office and from home, and nobody sees who gave what. Each one is named in the KadoBook, with a message if they like. Add a KadoClip and the messages become a short video reveal for the farewell party.

How it works for the organizer

Start the pool in the free KadoPool app

Add the person who is retiring and set the closing date before the party. It takes about two minutes.

Invite your colleagues

Invite them by e-mail from the app, so the reminders reach them, and share the link in Slack or Teams too: every office and everyone working from home can chip in, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with no app or account.

Let the reminders do the chasing

With automatic reminders on, KadoPool nudges the people you invited by e-mail who haven't chipped in yet, about 3 days and 12 hours before the closing date. You see who has chipped in, never who gave what.

Send the gift

The retiree receives it in the KadoPool app, with the KadoBook of everyone's names and messages, and the KadoClip if you added one.

A farewell KadoBook from the whole team in the KadoPool app

Every office, one KadoBook

Everyone who chips in is named in the KadoBook, wherever they work, and adds a message with the free app.

A KadoClip for the party

A short video reveal made from everyone's messages, at most $3.99 per recipient, taken from the pool when you send the gift.

What the retiree receives

  • Their choice: gift cards from hundreds of brands, or cash on a free prepaid Visa card (up to $999), or a mix.
  • A KadoBook: every colleague's name and message, in one place.

What it costs

Organizing is free. Each payment carries the card processing and KadoPool's 2% fee: about $1.53 on a $25 gift. You choose whether it comes out of the gift or is added on top. See pricing

Questions

Do coworkers need the app?

No. They chip in from the link on any phone or computer. Only you, to set up and send the gift, and the retiree, to open it, use the app.

Can colleagues in other offices take part?

Yes. Anyone with the link chips in from any phone or computer, wherever they work.

What does a KadoClip cost?

At most $3.99 per recipient, taken from the pool when you send the gift, and only if the pool can afford it.

Can I keep it a surprise?

Yes. Turn on "Surprise pool" and the person you're thanking hears about it only when you send the gift.

Do I hold the money?

No. Payments go through Stripe, never to you. As the organizer, you never touch the money.
